Take control of the Oceanic Research Ball (O.R.B. for short) and explore a vast underwater environment full of mysterious creatures. Explore the depths and use your scanning ray to study and catalog the planet's diverse plant and animal life.
Collect powerful energy crystals and acquire upgrades to enhance your sonar and propulsion systems and reach new and deeper areas of the ocean to unlock the mysteries of this strange world, including answering the questions: Where did you come from? Why are you here?
Controls
The best way to play Project O.R.B. is with a mouse or gamepad.
When using a mouse and keyboard:
- Use the mouse to aim the O.R.B. unit.
- Right click or press space bar to move.
- Left click the environment to scan objects or absorb crystals.
- Left click the O.R.B. unit to fire a sonar ping, or click and hold to activate a long range sonar scan.
- Use the mouse wheel to change sonar categories.
- Press the middle mouse button or the F key to toggle your flashlight.
- Press Escape to open the menu / database.
If playing with a gamepad:
- Use the left stick to steer.
- Use the right trigger to accelerate.
- Hold Y to scan nearby objects.
- Hold B to absorb energy crystals.
- Tap A to fire a sonar ping to locate nearby items. Hold A to activate a long range sonar scan.
- Use LB and RB to change sonar categories.
- Tap X to toggle your flashlight.
- Press Start to open the menu / database.
Additional keyboard hotkeys are available in the Abilities tab of the main menu.
